Cancer and society ‘.. is a joint venture of Pratishruti cancer and palliative trust and Assam science technology and environment council. This book is about Cancer, about the myths related to cancer, the challenges in the field of palliative care and also about social responsibility to remove all these obstacles. It is a compilation of knowledge and experience of Doctors, Cancer Researchers, Cancer patients including survivors and attendants, our benevolent donors and Palliative Care Volunteers. This book is for common people so that they can be aware about the reality and the myths related to cancer, how we can deal with this deadly disease with a scientific approach.
The main objective of publishing this book is to make common people aware about Cancer that’s why the price fixed is very minimal token amount of 30 rupees only so that everyone can afford to purchase it and the money which will be collected are going to be donated for treatment of paediatric cancer patients in Assam.
